CCD camera for image processing
A CCD camera is installed inside the machine to photograph the tip of the grinding wheel and measure the corner R value.
- ◆A dedicated CCD camera screen is provided within the Smart NC.
- ◆Measurement results can be easily registered to tool information.
Internal measurement system
This system can measure ID and OD for machined work, including radial curve, taper, and straight machining. It is possible to do dimensional control for tight tolerances by repeating grinding and measurement.
- ◆Many measurements items can support various types of work shape.
- ◆Parameters and measurement results are managed in a database.
- ◆Measurements can be easily done by simply setting the parameters on the screen.
- ◆Parameter input is also easy to understand and easy to set.
Truing mechanism
Truing unit installed inside the machine makes it possible to mold grind stone.
- ◆Similar to the measurement screen, grindstone formation is possible by simply entering the necessary information.
Tool setter function (wireless)
Even inside a compact comb blade machine, tool coordinates can be easily set by attaching and detaching the wireless tool setter to the chuck.
Supports continuous shape grinding
Can machine radial curves, tapers, and straights, on either ID or OD surfaces, in a single path. It cannot machine both ID and OD surfaces on the same path, however,
- *One-stroke processing that combines the inner and outer diameters is not possible.
